About D.B.Silversmiths 

The Early Years 

At the age of 16, David embarked upon his Silversmithing career as an apprentice silversmith and also enrolled in a 3 year  City and Guilds course in silversmithing & jewellery making and then a further 2 years on an advanced course. The time spent on these courses allowed David to build a solid foundation of core skills, including traditional techniques used by master crafts-people that have been handed down over hundreds of years. 

Over the five years as an apprentice, David polished his skills as a high level Silversmith creating beautiful bespoke pieces to the highest standards of English craftsmanship in a traditional workshop.

Silversmithing was not just a job to David, but a true passion. five years of intense training under the invaluable tutelage of his esteemed teachers and master craftsmen, coupled with his talent, drive, passion and ambition set him up with exactly the right foundation and skills to push himself to the next level he then spent 20 years working for the company making bespoke silverware for many famous companies and designers around the world but always dreaming of running his own business he left in 2012 to begin the process of building his own business, the result D.B.Silversmiths also known as custom pendants 

Every item is made exclusively by hand from his workshop in Sheffield England. No piece leaves the workshop unless it reaches the high expectations of a craftsman that is built from hundreds of years of English tradition.

The Next Level

At the heart of D.B.Silversmiths is highly-skilled craftsmanship that goes into every piece of his jewellery but what is jewellery if it’s not paired with highly-desirable designs.
